Below are the terms and conditions for private tuition contracts packages.
Payment Structure: Please note that the total amount for the package must be fully paid (cash payments at the offices or EFT payment/bank deposit) and proof of payment must be uploaded on the account management portal befor a tutor is assigned to the student. Once this payment is made the tutor is given permission by Turning Point Tutors to begin lessons with the student. Please note that if you make a cash deposit payment, a 4% fee on the amount paid will apply.
Quality Assurance: "Your Satisfaction or your money back" Turning point tutors implements a strict money back quality assurance policy for the benefit of all Sponsors, Parents or students who purchase hours for tuition. Our promise to every Parent, Sponsor and student is as follows: If a student is unhappy with the quality of lessons that take place, Turning Point tutors will Refund the full amount that was paid by the student, Parent or Sponsor provided that:
The student informs Turning Point Tutors by sending an email that must indicating exactly what they were unsatisfied with.
The student sends the above indicated email to Turning Point Tutors as soon as the first lesson has been completed by the tutor.
Cancellation of lessons: No scheduled lessons may be cancelled less than 12 hours before the lesson is scheduled to begin. in the event that this occurs, the tutor is permitted to deduct an hour of preparation time from the student's account. A senior representative of turning Point Tutors will approve this claim before payment and made to the tutor.
Changing package structure: students are permitted to reallocate purchased hours depending on their need. For example if a student has purchased a total of 10 hours and has allocated 5 hours to subject 1 and 5 hours to subject 2, but the student now wishes to allocate more hours to subject 1, the student is permitted to reallocate hours from subject 2 to subject 1. this should be done by sending an email request indicating the change requested. the student is however not permitted to allocated to request a tutor change if they are not happy with the tutor that is assigned to them. This can bed done by sending an email indicating the change required. the student is expected to indicate the reason for this request. Students are not allowed to change contracts types even if there are outstanding hours on the original contract. For example if a student had purchased 10 hours single student package ( 1 on 1), he/ she is not allowed to transfer the hours on to a two student package (2 on 1).
Cancellation of package at the end of semester or a year: Students are not allowed to cancel outstanding packages at the end of the semester or a year if the full hours on the packages haven't been utilized. Statements will be sent at the end of the semester with instructions on how to transfer the remaining hours and the deadline for this. the student needs to fill in this form by said deadline.
