5-A-SIDE FUNDRAISING SOCCER TOURNAMENT
Concept
TPT will be hosting a soccer tournament to raise funds for charity under the theme,” Football for Education”. This year’s funds will be donated to the Jacaranda Children’s home. The funds will be used to purchase items that will assist the students with their academic development.
Objective
This project has three objectives
- To initiate a culture of sports/fun for fundraising within Turning Point Tutors and organizations around us
- To establish a culture of yearly competition around fundraising
- To have a positive quantifiable impact on the academic success of underprivileged children
Result/Target
The aim is to raise a target of R15, 000.00, which will be used to support a children’s home with required educational facilities. The precise facilities will be determined after a detailed needs analysis is conducted by one or more of project team members.
